6th Annual Tree Photo Contest
National Arbor Day is April 24th this year. We celebrate by having a tree photo contest. We love getting so many unique and creative photos from people all over the U.S. each year. Folks send in photos taken on vacation, on hikes, and even photos from their own yards. Nature is amazing, right?
Share your TREE LOVE by emailing us a JPG version of your most awesome photo of a tree and you could win a $35, $50 or $100 credit with us. See details below.

Contest Fine Print: Just say NO to sending us a photo you found on the internet. Please make sure the photo is one you took yourself, that the main object in the photo is a tree or trees, that it is a photo rather than a painting or diarama or macarame fruit holder in the shape of a tree, that it doesn't have any copyright restrictions on it, and that you email it by midnight Pacific time, Monday April 20th to PhotoContest@treesforachange.com
We reserve the right to not post your photo for voting if one or more of these conditions aren't met. You may submit more than one photo, but we will choose only one photo per person to post for voting.
You may send us a photo you have entered in our contest in the past, but you must not have been a winner with that photo, and you can only enter a photo you've entered before one time.
An email will be sent out announcing voting has opened on our Random Tree Fun page- HERE on April 21st, and will close at 6pm Pacific time, April 23rd. Winners will be announced there on Arbor Day- April 24th and also included in an email newsletter. We reserve the right to stop accepting photos before April 20th if we receive more than 30 entries, and we reserve the right to use your photo on our website and in our email newsletters, but the photo still belongs to you and we will credit the photo to your name once voting has closed.
The 3rd place winner receives $35 credit, 2nd place receives $50 credit, and 1st place receives a $100 credit toward any Tree Gifts, which can be planted in the name of the winner or someone of their choosing. Winners will receive an email by May 1st with details about how to redeem their prize. Prizes must be redeemed within one year.

Trees Just Planted |

971 trees for gifts ordered between July 1, 2013 -December 31, 2013 were just planted in January Blackwater River State Forest to restore areas devastated by hurricanes a few years ago.
Until further notice, trees ordered in 2014 will be planted in the same forest in January 2015.
We feel good about helping to restore the area for black bears and woodpeckers with our very special trees.

A few weeks ago we drove up through Yellowstone (right before the shut down-phew!) to Gallatin National Forest to visit our most recently planted trees. We took photos of some of the 1604 Lodgepole pine, Douglas fir and Engelmann spruce trees planted this summer.
